The game is designed to make you spend money. “Forcing” is an interesting term here. The game doesn’t force you to be a whale, sure, but mechanically it’s entirely designed to push the player in that direction. So the game isn’t forcing you, but it is making that suggestion constantly.

But it takes an immense amount of resources to max out newly acquired characters, so I can’t experience her full potential right away. I’m quick to switch Aloy out whenever an enemy approaches.
