Disagree - Burbank’s better run on a record he already had may have introduced new tech or strategies. The community might feel betrayed that that information wasn’t made public on discovery. Usually that is how speedrunning works.

It’s a bit anti-competitive. The times increasing are what push competitors to clean up their runs and try new strategies. Might have damaged the meta by withholding info - speedrunning tends to be a very open and collaborative community. I understand why people felt kind of betrayed.

If they’re racist they’re not a “real” progressive, though. It’s antithetical to the ideology.

No actual progressive is weaponizing police, man. I don’t want police to even exist. I’m not gonna pretend white progressives are clean of racism, but if you’re doing some kind “all politics are racist” I just don’t agree at all.

Was hoping to see Chicory in the Indie Direct today. Seems like a really good fit on Switch. I own a PS4 also, but that just doesn’t feel right to me.

I get bad vibes from such direct spiritual successors like this. Reminds me of Yooka-Laylie (which some people, apparently, still did enjoy). You can’t be a slave to the original vision of the game, gotta come up with innovations of your own. So I am concerned about it.

I think DS games are some of the best to collect because it’s a hard experience to emulate accurately with the touch screen and all. I know I’m really glad I snagged the original The World Ends With You a few years ago, because you can’t play the original vision for that game easily anymore.
