Of course the non-American wants roundabouts! Come drive on our roads for a day. More roundabouts is “I want to die” in America.

Also, Canabalt, holy shit. It’s been forever since I thought about that game. All the rage on iPod touches when I was in school. Gonna look into what they’ve been up to since.
I got this when it came out, but never quite finished. Maybe it’s time to give it another whack.
True, just ask Marvel. But I think spinning this game into some kind of “the left are censoring art!” thing is missing the point. We’re challenging the validity of this as “art” and challenging its quality (from what we can tell story-wise, bad. Gameplay could be good who knows).
Feel like this game is toeing the line between art and propoganda pretty hard. Think censoring or pushing back against propoganda is fine. Tamte made training simulations for the CIA previously.
Every smash player has different opinions. Generally the best way to get an idea of who’s good is to look up top pro’s “tier lists,” but even then they’re often biased and weird. Usually, I see Wii Fit ranked as “mid-tier” - basically average or below average. But they’re also an unpopular character, so there’s less…
I think a lot of the ire specifically with Iraq is that it was an illegal war. I also think most WWII games don’t cover war crime activities. I’m sure unethical things happened, say, on D-Day, but a game covering D-Day isn’t gonna ask you to avoid shooting civilians because it’s mostly on an explicit battlefield. I…
I like this website, I read all the stuff on here and respond to silly comments regularly. Enjoy commenting in general. Been reading since probably 2012, but sure I’m the troll mr. no profile pic.
Lots of stuff published about this. Consumers are getting a good deal in general:
Hey, I’m glad you got it! Good work.
“We should not give this game free good publicity.”
Really got the weebs out for this one. And the comparisons of classic art to anime jerkoff fare... unbearable. If it was just, like, Joker, fine, but some of those anime girl figures are pretty close to nude. Imagine it would make any women there pretty uncomfortable.

IMO a game being short doesn’t necessarily mean it should be cheaper. All sorts of experiences are interesting. Clearly there’s a lot of chilling out value to be had here. If you blitz through it to 100% without ever enjoying it don’t blame Nintendo.
Meh, games are expensive. If anything indie and smaller titles are priced too low. It’s why most big $60 games have a bunch more purchases hidden inside them - $60 isn’t necessarily enough.
I feel like comparing WWII to Iraq is extremely disingenuous when the causes were very different. War is never good, but WWII you have an extremely legal justification for partaking in (our country was literally attacked). I’d be interested in a “realistic” WWII game because absolutely war crimes were perpetrated…
Curious!
its not out of concern for the victims of the war
Polygon also got an interview, no trailer. Just factually incorrect.
Can’t believe IGN ran that great piece and then dropped this a week later. Huge shame.
