Very! That’s a great Pokemon. I caught one in Crown Tundra just the other day.

Some great shots. The No Man’s Sky ones never get old for me. Loved hanging out in space in that game.

The Gamemaker’s Toolkit vid I watched said that any orc that survives one attack by you becomes increasingly likely, as time goes on, to survive further attacks as well as become increasingly powerful. So for me that system worked (organically?) and well, though I cannot speak to others’ experience.

I’m honestly a big fan of random fish Pokemon. Don’t know why, it’s my area of expertise. Let’s hear it for boring, largely pointless fish Pokemon like Basculin, Lumineon, and Qwilfish! (Not Bruxish, though. That fish is fucking ugly.)

I’ll defend the game on this thread. The protag is bad, the world is rough, it’s too easy (the second added difficulty). ALL TRUE. But it really shines if you can get a reliable enemy orc and build a narrative around them.

Stifling is almost the point, right? Because an indie isn’t going to want to fight this to find out.

Warner Bros. is lowkey one of the most predatory gaming companies. Their DLC stuff is always abominable. This is really too bad.

That’s good (sorta) to hear that I’m not necessarily missing out on much. Breath of Fire is on my list to try out at some point.

The account is actually fucking hilarious and mostly harmless.

I’m playing Xenogears on PS3 right now and it’s making consider undertaking the effort to get into retro game collecting. The game looks pretty rough on an HD TV, unsurprisingly, all chunky and muddled. It makes me really want to get an original cartridge and hook it up to a CRT and see it how it’s “supposed” to look.

This all has actually made me just want to grab the trilogy on PS3.

I beat FFVII and now we’re on to Xenogears. And maybe Hitman 2 if my package arrives over the weekend.

I knew as soon as I saw the headline, wow. I’m kinda scared! It’s a rare thing to have such a consistent guiding voice for so long. Good luck with whatever’s next.

That original Defector article (from an author I otherwise like) was astoundingly bad. Clearly Albert had no idea wtf he was talking about, and frankly I wish the interview Heather did with them had pushed back even harder. But! I’m glad it led to coverage of embargoes here and more knowledge for readers.

I just wanna do crimes on a racetrack so it’ll be fine

In the original FFVII the brief sequences on the Midgar trains were pretty cool. The tunnels... quite the opposite.

*Nervously looks at online Hitman 2 shipment tracking*

Who rolls up to “Prison City” and expects everything to just go swell?

FFIII (JP, not 6) has a pretty alright world. Cool floating continent, mystical sages helping the heroes of light, decent monarchs. And disaster strikes only every 1000 years or so. Weak world map monsters. I think I’d be cool living there. Maybe occasionally you get plucked out of the sky by a dragon and have to
