Wow, these all bang outrageously hard, what the fuck

What the fuck is wrong with you

I think you’re kind of coming at it from the wrong angle. Roblox ripped off Tallarico’s creation. He’s not “using this opportunity” for anything. Roblox probably could have paid him a large flat fee for the use of the sound, but instead opted to charge for it since it’s now being licensed. But even if the sound was

That’s a fair counter-argument. Maybe they’re all too scared to say anything! Again, I wouldn’t use the wolf, either, but I don’t think it’s impossible to rationalize if you want to.

That’s the part that got me. There’s all kinds of legends about people having ridiculous mythical beasts. I don’t really like the wolf either, but you can absolutely reconcile it as the kind of legendary folklore that might be passed down about a revolutionary assassin.

I played Wargroove last summer and enjoyed it. I think I stuck to the default difficulty, if that is indeed Hard, but it definitely took a lot of trial and error to finally complete. Fun game, but didn’t really leave me thinking about it afterwards like the best games I’ve played.

These guys make great games. Hope it makes its way to Android eventually, or maybe even Switch?

Oh good I’m sane

Well I thought it was going to be insanely predatory monetization, so this is better than that, at least. Shame they stole it in the first place, though, especially seeing as Roblox is lowkey one of the biggest games in the world now. (“Roblox also announced it now has over 150 million monthly active users” from their

Thanks, Ash

As a huge Abzu stan I’m excited for this one. Since I didn’t see explicit mention of it that I can tell, how’s the music? I think Wintory is doing this game, too, so I’ve been excited for that.

Ha, fair. I missed the Run DMC reference, but probably because I too, am too young for that to be a cultural touchstone for me. Hell, if Miles is a teen in 2020 he probably never saw MJ play live, either, though his shoes have an obviously greater cultural legacy than this pair of adidas.

Ew.

Hey, thanks for the response. I think you’ve got a good angle, and obviously you had a different experience than I did growing up so I appreciate your perspective. You’re probably right that just taking games out of the equation doesn’t necessarily mean that I (or your friends) would have found something “substantial”

Not too real! Appreciate the perspective. I always figured if I ended up working in gaming it would have been “worth it” because ultimately the hobby led to me having a, y’know, “real job.” I don’t work in gaming, but it’s funny to see you feel the same regardless.

Gosh, the Switch is great but the joycons are abominable. I own 4 (two pairs) and each one is broken. Heard the pro controller is good, but it’s pricey. Awful controller situation.

Yeah, what you described is what I’ve wanted to play for a while now. I own a PS4, which has Gran Turismo, but that’s kind of “too serious” for me. Give me launching a Volkswagen beetle off a cliff!

I actually have very mixed feelings about if video gaming is “good” for me

Looks like Master Chief Collection is on gamepass actually, which I tried to edit and missed the timer. Even better, though. THE VALUE!

But there’s still something to be said for getting a new gaming platform with which you can try some good work you missed the first time around.
