Where did my legs go?
Can confirm about the head gasket issues. My dad had an ‘06 750 that started chugging quarts of oil every week and blowing smoke. Dealership told him it would take something like 8000 to fix. It seems like when BMW V8, V10, and V12 engines fail, they only fail catastrophically. Never just a pump or alternator, the…
Are you sure it’s dog pee?
The more I look at it, the funnier it gets.
I wouldn’t touch a Jag of this era with a 10 foot pole unless that pole was made of 100 dollar bills.
I think the Isuzu Axiom looks pretty good, either that or the 06-09 Legacy, mostly because I drive one, but I think it still looks great.
I think they’ve been most effective as propaganda tools, if nothing else. The M1 Abrams is a symbol of American military superiority. For an insurgency like ISIS to capture even just one presents a serious opportunity for them to gloat, which they have. As for fuel, it’s my understanding that the turbine in those…
When I was in high school, I had a summer job as a warehouse clerk at a Ford parts warehouse. It was above-average work in that I was able to pick my own hours and the fact that I was handling car parts kept me from going insane from the monotony of part picking and stocking. Anyway, the owner was an avid car guy and…
Although I love the current STI, I too prefer previous generations. I feel like Subaru has lost their touch over the past decade. Their cars just don’t seem as quirky and special anymore, and the styling on most of their lineup looks kind of bloated and busy. The WRX (not the STI) is a prime example. Yes, it’s quick,…
“Thank you much for bringing my characters to life”
Oh look, another generic and bland new Subaru. I am so excited.
I totally agree. These small “Performance Crossovers” are kind of looking like ultimate hot hatches to me, or maybe they’re a little too big for that. I don’t know.
IMO, Pre-GM Saab will always win
Because it’s a new generation of the Subaru boxer engine. Most of the newer Subarus use the 2 liter FB engines. Your Subaru Legacy (and mine), new or not, uses the 2.5 liter EJ engine architecture, and they have since the legacy was first introduced in the early 90’s.
Ok. As an engine in general, I agree that the FA series is a technological leap forward from the trusty old EJ warhorse it replaces, but it’s ruined by the transmission it’s often paired with, a hateful CVT that makes throttle response unpredictable and jumpy in the name of fuel efficiency and what seems to be…
