Given that the Olympics are the only time that many sports make it into the pop culture landscape, this seems pretty straightforward.

The show totally doesn’t know what to do with her. Like, did we really know that she had been running her studio for THREE YEARS, let alone that she hated it, until it came up in the last episode? Lately she just doesn’t seem like a fully realized character.
My first binge by my (low) standards was season 2 of Parks and Rec, of which I watched 10 episodes in a week (and the whole season in less than a month). But my first binge-as-defined-by-Netflix (a season in a week) was only last fall, when I re-watched season 1 of The Good Place in three days in preparation for…
I just loved that the dessert quickfire was about greatest fears, given how many chefs fear making a dessert on Top Chef.
Yes — I stopped listening once they started trying to be This American Life.
Carrie has a rodeo background! Of course she does. I love her.
Seeing Sam Malone one last time affected me way more than I thought it would.
Oooh, and now that you mention it, based on what we’ve seen, both Chidi and Tahani were killed by fallen objects and thus could’ve been saved by a literal push. (Not so sure about Jason.)
I can’t stand mustachioed Joe, so I really enjoyed watching him happily note that this wasn’t one of those cases where one team gets blown out of the water . . . only for his team to be blown out of the water.
Now all I want is for Andre Braugher to show up in this show in some way and face off against Shawn. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?
Alex Borstein is so amazing in this — as glad as I am that Brosnahan got the Golden Globe, I’d love to see Borstein get some Supporting Actress Emmy love.
I’ve only made it to one alum’s restaurant: Shakewell, Jen Biesty’s restaurant in Oakland. It was fantastic (and reasonably priced!) creative Mediterranean. I remember the grilled octopus, which was incredibly tender, and the squid ink paella, which was amazing. Highly recommended!
I have thought that almost every season for the past several years . . . and then as the numbers dwindle down they start to get more irritating.
I especially love Carrie, because she just does not give a fuck and is having a blast while cooking great food. I can’t remember the last time someone had as much fun as she’s having.
Not only immigrants, but refugees. And it was a beautiful segment of the show, especially when you consider the demographics of the show and of the culinary workforce.
I also always had the sense that at that point, not only was Kristin taking the high road (against Josie, blech), but she was deliberately gunning for LCK. Maybe she was tired of the competition, maybe she was tired of her competitors, but I really think at that moment she thought her best path to the finale was…
Because I worry about logistics, I was wondering was everyone (production included!) did for dinner and breakfast during the camping trip. Did craft services come along? Or did everyone just have to snack off of what they were cooking?
Yes, I liked that they had several hours at night and then something like 7 hours on the day of. (I don’t know if the editing was true, but if so, it was interesting how the worst dishes were all in the last group — too much time to psych themselves out and overthink it?)
Oh hell — I found this super charming, with more laugh-out-loud lines per episode than Modern Family has in a season nowadays.
My only good point in season 6 is “Friday Night’s Alright for Fighting”, which has an epic set of battles among the Gilmores at Friday Night Dinner. (It naturally concludes as they all do, with Emily telling Lorelai she should’ve married Christopher when they were sixteen. Lorelai: “OH. MY. GOD.”)
