Completely agree on all counts! Season 7 did have a season-long arc that mitigated the damage from the end of S6, and provided a reasonably satisfying ending for both Lorelai and Rory.

I am so relieved that Anezska is dead (maybe?), in part because I spent the latter half of the episode terrified they were going to kill off Alba. All that talk about how she “doesn’t have one foot in the grave,”eesh.
Oooh, this is a good point. Of all shows, I would have expected this one to realize how much earnestness people bring to a convention like that — and we didn’t see that in the attendees at all.
And her, “[sigh], my welding goggles are in the car.”
True — only Donna and Joe had a “normal” wedding on Parks and Rec. And hell, look at the weddings we’ve seen on The Good Place.
Oh, agreed — their wedding is on May 15 (sweeps!), Brooklyn 99 likes to shake things up at the end of the season, and clearly something major will Disrupt the planned wedding. At this point I don’t care where they get married as long as they actually get married.
I forgot how much I loved everything about Hep Alien. I didn’t love Zack as a partner for Lane, but lord knows even he was better than any of Rory’s boyfriends.
Football ratings have been dropping about 10%/year for the past 3 years or so. In addition to issues mentioned above, head injuries and the NFL’s disinterest in domestic violence and sexual assault have driven fans away. I think ratings might be a bit up this year, because the anthem protests are more interesting than…
Yes! And had we ever heard Chidi use the fork-word before? (I kind of think that he actually said “fork”, rather than “fuck”.)
I loved Andy Samberg’s hair in that flashback.
They did, and it’s called Supernatural.
Veronica Mars strikes me as being closer to Nancy Drew than any of the previous TV adaptations, anyway.
I interpreted her looking around as getting increasingly dizzy and disoriented before falling in.
While I’ve heard that later episodes haven’t been as bad, the cringe aspect of CEG was too much for me. (And I love, love, love Jane.)
I think Samberg’s actually very strong in a wide range of comedic styles, but in part because he brings so much energy to what he does. He doesn’t always pull off the quiet, serious scenes, except occasionally with Amy (Melissa Fumero). But other than that, it’s a high-energy, fast-paced show, and the whole ensemble…
The end of this episode didn’t quite land with me, and I think Andy Samberg just isn’t a strong enough dramatic actor, especially when paired with Andre Braugher. (Similarly, I thought he dragged down last season’s “Moo Moo” episode.) I wish Rosa had been given this plotline, instead — Stephanie Beatriz could’ve…
This is the same show that wanted us to think the Wuntch-Holt rivalry was funny, and Wuntch was much creepier and more inappropriate with Holt than Gina ever was with Terry.
Did he know that, though? How many times did he blame the almond milk for his assignation to The Bad Place? At least once Michael had to spell it out for him, how his indecision made everyone around him miserable.
His realization that all his study of ethics during his life was for naught was really heart-breaking. I loved Chidi in this episode — it’s been a while since he’s gotten to do anything but go, “WHAT?”
I didn’t notice Son of Zorn in my quick perusal of his recent IMDB credits! Clearly I need to check out this “Son of Zorn”....
