When Ben Horne finds out that Richard murdered the kid from Truman, no one mentions telling Audrey. If she were not in a coma, I would think that her name would have come up.

I don't think Lynch threw in the James performance randomly. The fact that he is up there with two "replacement" brunettes ties in the with some of the episode's themes. It sort of lines up with Norma's discussion about how the pie has the same ingredients but from different suppliers.

How about Sonny Jim? When I first heard his name mentioned, I assumed it was Sunny Jim for some unknown reason.

I've read a few posts where people are complaining that there is not mystery this season. For me, the mystery lies in puzzling over things like the sweeping scene, or the smoke man, or what the hell Ike the Spike does when he's not going on a techo-murder-rampage!

Kubrick does similar things in his movies, like the scene in Clockwork Orange where they process Alex into the prison. It's completely mundane and routine, but it somehow works.
