How did they drive it for 24 hours at 175? Did they pull in for gas every 20 minutes or was this done on a rolling platform?

Its not all about gallons burned, its also emissions. Some cars get worse fuel ratings, but emit less dangerous chemicals into the environment. Also, many cars don’t get anything near their EPA ratings. Then there is the problem of the person who buys the big v8 but drives so little that he emits less gas than the guy

Sounds like a great idea and I love it. The liability isnt as big of a worry as “i took apart my car and i have the wrong parts and wont be able to remove it for a few days until the parts come in, sorry you have to cancel all of your next appointments”

I would like to see this test with two different cars, one that has AWD and one that doesn’t. AWD cars don’t have locked diffs, and they have added weight on the front. That is more relevant to daily driving.

Japan and europe always had a different motor in their STi. America had the 2.4, while they had the 2.0

Look at resale value though, overall cost of ownership will be cheaper than a new bmw or audi.

they’re*?

Sometimes I feel like this website is just the TLDR of reddit/r/cars from the previous day. There was just a big post about the Japanese car sales there yesterday.

The NP or CP depended solely on whether it was manual or auto. No mention of it in the article, other than hints like LSD and some limited edition that you would only know about if you reallllly know miatas. NP, prices are always crazy on these. It could be on fire and still get a NP.

One from craigslist without a title that you use on your own private land.

Well to be fair 70 extra HP and alot more room. (I’d still prefer the SS cause of the manual transmission and reliability.)

Charger Scat Pack. I’m sure its less reliable and no manual, but parts are cheaper cause you don’t have to get them from a defunct factory in Australia.

Debt* and they hold their value surprisingly well.

If I had an extra million dollars laying around, I would spend it on the new Fat Bob. It looks great and harleys are very comfortable. If I had an extra 18K laying around, it wouldnt go to harley.

The low mileage motor/trans is worth prob 4-6k. NP though they are wobbly with a top, prob doesnt even need a suspension without a top.

They just cant win. When they had a grill on the early model S, everyone was angry that a car with no gas engine, no radiator up front, had a grill. They remove the grill and people are angry that it doesnt have one.

Caddilac XLR Zr-1-V

Its based on a Freightliner for sure. I wonder if the engine noise at the beginning was a truck starting up nearby, or if its speakers making a noise like the cab of some newer turbo cars.

I would prefer the opposite: a functional clutch pedal and sequential manual paddle shifted gears. Like a motorcycle.

Very likely a typo, but dont forget, they have also production vehicle with 808hp on premium pump gas with a warranty.
