It leads to the question, once again, of whether AI is being developed too quickly.

Wir sagen “keine Chance”, oder “auf keinen Fall”, oder auch “das ist nicht drin”. I live in Germany and, by some definitions, am German ;) Thank you, nonetheless.
Das Auto sieht super aus und hat m.E. einen Wert, trotz seines Alters. Allerdings, nicht den genannten Wert von 15000 (!) Dollar. Keine Würfel.
Perhaps we’ve been all wrong about Predators. Maybe they are misunderstood, textile-based creatures that were scorned in favor of modern technology in some way, many generations ago. In their quest for justice they’ve evolved and adopted uniquely advanced weaponry to fight for their true place in the galaxy.

It would be cool if you did things with cars that humans couldn’t tolerate. Make them go 500mph. Race them around loops and corkscrews. Let fans participate by dropping speed boosts, mines, and sections of the track covered in mouse-trap glue. Make it hilarious and I’ll tune in.
I absolutely would watch it. I think it might be the best 90 seconds of entertainment you might be able to find.
Came here to say this. We have a self-cert model for FMVSS compliance and people seem to really struggle with that concept.
The best way to liven up AI-powered racing: strap Sam Altman and Elon Musk to the nose of the vehicles, Fury Road-style.
Some key info here: The Cybertruck *was* crash-tested. It had to be, to get licensed for sale by the NHTSA. The results of that test were filed with NHTSA so that Tesla could legally affix the sticker to each CyberTruck that says it conforms to the FMVSS (49 CFR Part 567).
What NHTSA does is *independently* re-tests…
Wawa is the khaki pants of convenience stores. It is just fine, everything about it is fine. Sheetz is edgy. 7-11 classic. Kum-N-Go has a fun name. Buc-ee’s is the Wal-Mart of convenience (that’s not a compliment). Casey’s has decent pizza. BP is the classic gas station convenience store.
Everyone tends to think of F50's, Diablos , and Vipers when you say 90's supercar, but I think the Esprit deserves a bit more attention. If it wasn’t for the weakly built transmission this car would have been able to debut with the 500hp it was fully capable and intended to have. Which would have been huge in the mid…
Jaguar XJ220. Only if we’re rebooting it, do it right. Give it the V12 and all wheel drive, and butterfly doors. It is still good as is, but it could’ve been great if Jaguar hadn’t been so penny pinching.
Renault Alpine A610
I should love this- convoluted brand history, complicated engine with exquisite pedigree, tin top and not convertible, Italian. But somehow the Fiat Dino always left me cold. I’d rather have an Isuzu 117 Coupé (Giugiaro reused this design but I think the Isuzu looks better). The 117's dashboard was made of Taiwanese…
It’s important to note, I think, that it’s not parody. Spaceballs is a work of parody - it has affection for its source material while poking fun at its inherent ridiculousness. Starship Troopers, as a genre piece, is exactly what it says on the tin. It is an over-the-top, absurd sci-fi action flick, it is not…
I enjoyed the film as a kid when it first came out because it was an action packed, violent, R-rated movie with incredibly well animated and modeled giant insects eviscerating, and getting eviscerated by soldiers wearing what looks like rubber Nerf armor.
Forget the slideshows, does anyone remember when this site used to do original reporting? This is reporting on someone else’s reporting, as is the OEM tire story, which is based on a video and was already reported on by The Drive, and probably touched on by the other automotive blogs that all serve the same audience…
A new Alfa Spider was technically on its way in the early 2010's, but the decision was made to revive the 124 Spider instead since the car was to be assembled in Japan and no Alfa has ever been built outside of Italy.
The problem is that the current regulations preclude building something small light and simple. The BMW 1 series is 1000 lbs heavier than an E30 3 series and most other cars are bigger and heavier. Trucks are worse, the EPA "footprint rule" makes a genuinely small truck impossible because something the size of a…
