    “milquetoast [sic],”

You might think your truck is great for hauling lumber, camping gear or power tools. But, it’s actually a sophisticated kitchen gadget

Are there cars new enough to have push button start that don’t have an RFID key system?

The entire staff should feel bad.

Lawrence, this is pretty hilarious. Thanks for the article.

Sometimes the phrase “wretched excess” comes to mind and fits perfectly.

Nice observation. I’m not a historian, but I also think the speech is wrong historically.

I have no problem with regulation of AI, if we can figure out how to make it effective. Asimov’s laws are a poor starting point is all. It’s like saying, “Let’s build a legal system around the Golden Rule.” It doesn’t get us very far.

Asimov’s laws, as an example, haven’t yet been shown to be workable. Actual AI expert Drew McDermott:

I don’t know anything at all about drone programs, but in Col. Hamilton’s telling, we have the U.S. Air Force setting up a communications tower in enemy territory (on the ground?), to allow an operator (also on the ground?) to work with a drone. (The guess about ‘on the ground’ is because with automatic target

Afterwards? They appreciated what they’d seen, but they preferred the comparable areas in the Epcot Center. The Disney

The weight of any commercial airliner is a vital factor in any flight. For example, takeoff weight helps determine how much fuel is needed for the service’s route.

    A worthwhile article. Thanks.

Right. The title of article, “You’re Probably Sitting In Your Car Wrong,” should have a continuation “... if you want to drive fast on a track.” In the real world we have to be much more aware of pedestrians, traffic signals, emergency vehicles, common road hazards, blind curves, weather...

Hey, lucky me, I discover that my home town of Baltimore, MD, has the highest rate of accidents among U.S. cities. So I’ll say, any random vehicle with a dent and touch-up paint.

Here in MD there are laws (I think) about availability of free air hoses to pump up flat tires. The one closest to my apartment was perpetually broken; whenever it got fixed, vandals would take it out again. In some ways we seem to have a broken society.

I appreciate the way Mercedes Benz is giving models with scoliosis a chance to shine.
