never said it was from the team, as I'm sure the team has enough experience celebrating that they're off enjoying it in their own deserved way...I meant that these fans are being petty by trying to rub the other team's nose in the dirt instead of just raising their arms and cheering for their own team's accomplishment

I think we've come full circle now on the "classy" thing now. It used to be lame to laud over "classiness," but now it's definitely more annoying and lame to mock and complain about "classiness."

It's stupid and petty. The series is well over, they won, why rub it in further? I could see this friendly-shit-talking happening during the series, but it's over now; it's just petty at this point.

Deadspin mocks it because all of the other sports media outlets over-laud it and put it on this pedestal of "what wins championships" which is incredibly annoying and misleading. Yes having "grit" and "character" is important, but it isn't the end-all and be-all to winning.
