The thing is, Scarlett is a hypocrite:

It’s a fair presumption, but just occasionally a person doesn’t have a concerted agenda. Sometimes people just speculate and ask sincere questions.

Since when has “more than a decade ago” mattered with any of the rest of this?

I get frustrated whenever anyone presumes to know what another person is ‘obviously’ saying, contrary to their own words.

And a whole fifteen years after Dylan Farrow first publicly accused Woody Allen of sexually molesting her at the age of seven. The editorial was powerful and heartfelt but added no further evidence to the information disclosed to the public in 1993.

Hypocrites or not (I decidedly land on not - movies run on money, and if there’s a belief that no one will see something, then there’s no money), what it means is that more of us get heard. More stories get out. More money comes in. What it all means is power. More voices means more attention means projects getting

Something is happening. I had a quick trip to Sundance this year and women I’ve known for years, who’ve never been able to get their films much attention, are getting standing ovations. Women I’ve known who are hardened by the system broke down yesterday. It’s nuts. I’m seeing some attention on women-centric projects

If it “overwhelms” and “exhausts” you, you’re useless against it

Never forget that SNL helped legitimize Trump’s campaign by letting him host in 2015.

This is an example of why I can’t stand SNL today. Back then, they used snappy comedic timing to insert little asides — like when he asks Dreyfus her name and she lies the first time — to make it feel like each sketch was actually written with some thought. Now, they just come up with a premise and assume they’ve done

These type of skits are awful. It is the laziest form of political commentary. People already know things are bad. They aren’t offering any path of action. It is a selfish attempt to make everyone bond over misery.

Now playing

They should’ve invited Jesse Jackson back.
