Last year Rey and Furiosa, this year fucking Harley booty-shorts Quinn and not even enough women to fill up all the spaces! Yeah. 2016 has been the absolute worst.
The nominees in female action this year are literally just a list of the ones that existed - no contest in it at all!

They chose to stick the Ghostbusters girls in the Comedy section. Kate McKinnon gets a nom there.

I hated her. As a huge fan of original Harley, who was an incredibly important character to me growing up, I despised every single choice she made with that character for the live action version. I will never ever understand any praise for her beyond irritating, flattened, posing, sexed-up muppet baby rendition of

I would have settled for Fury Road at the theater again. Give it this year's awards too. Have Furiosa take that best action female again. Nothing out this year has come even a fraction close.

Or Driftloon, the ghost type Pokémon who pretends to be a balloon and spirits away children that grab onto it.

You missed marketing. That's not included in the budget. Marketing includes tv promos, cinema promos, posters, ferrying the cast around the world for 2 weeks of press junkets, premiere, etc. Usually for blockbusters the marketing budget is around $120 million +.

I still don't understand that, with Pokémon's enormous scope for epic adventures based around the thing people most enjoy about the whole concept (especially after Pokémon Go), they go with 'detective Pikchu', of all premises.

Beast Wars yes!!!

Enzo getting his head crushed by that guy in the fighting game and getting trapped there with Andrea after dying is seered into my kid brain forever. Hella traumatic for a kids show!

Oh he's definitely the Red Mist/Motherfucker.

Sad upvote for truth. :( Which is pretty devestating for cinema tbh.

It's not great. Tina Fey is awesome, but that was not the right role for her. Supporting cast range from average to irritating as all get out.

It's a shame purely for the fact that mid-level budget movies with a confident marketing push behind them are becoming rarer and rarer. The more fail, the less they will probably continue to exist, and the gap between tiny indies and mega budget spectacles will widen.

Every confusingly popular thing makes so much more sense knowing how many people voted for Trump. Producers and marketers have known this for years - People. Are. Dumb.

Not unless you're Hillary Clinton. Then perceived 'crooked' deals or behaviors sink your whole campaign.

Hasn't that always been the way with the discrinated against. "You're cool when you're giving US something. No we still won't give you basic human dignities. Thanks for the show though."

Real trigger warnings are actually very helpful for those who suffer ptsd. Outside of the silliest parts of Tumblr, trigger warnings are to save people harrowing flashbacks and a resurgence in their symptoms. So for talk of rape or war crimes etc.

Mike Pence was triggered as fuck, you lyrical heathens! Apologized for hurting his feewings- I mean… feelings- and be sure to consider their tenderness in the future.

Is this an American joke? I don't get it…

She's the only one attached so far because she was the one who was like "Yo WB execs, everyone's Harley Quinn this Halloween. Lemme have a spinoff of someshit?" And WB executives were apparently "Yeah fine".
So she's signed already because WB said yes to her idea, it says nothing about who the lead character will be or
