Because merchandising.
Because merchandising.
Oh and Joker will definitely be there too. Because #relationshipgoals #otp right?
Suicide Swuad ran an aggressive over-a-year long marketing campaign targeted at the most easily hyped demographic in town with exactly what they wanted to see. It's a campaign that would have cost them way more that that $70 million.
You thowing around box office figures with no idea of costs and marketing budgets is…
Suicide Squad was flaming garbage on so many levels. Say you enjoyed it if you want, but "mostly okay" it was not.
America just elected a man who said "Grab her by the pussy". I'm not confused why terrible terrible movies make so much money anymore.
A lot of people are very stupid and don't give a crap about substance or quality. They're amazed by bright colors and noise and that's apparently enough.
Spend years wishing for an all female superhero movie with female writers and the first one is involving a character (movie iteration) I literally can not stand. Even that photo is making me cringe.
That's the last time I use that damn monkeys paw.
Benedict Cumberbatch is a good actor with a great, but dry, sense of humor. Which means that SNL had absolutely no idea how to utilize that, as per usual.
I keep saying it, but SNL has zero idea what to do with actors who have a dry, cleverly cutting sense of humor. I'm always really confused that their answer to getting actors like Jim Parsons, Benedict Cumberbatch, Charlize Theron, and Emily Blunt (who are all damn hilarious in the sarcastic put-upon straight-man…
A little bit of breaking is fine for me with guests and cast, as long as it's only a little. Ryan Gosling trying and failing during the Alien Abduction sketch is one of my favorite things in an SNL sketch.
And guests always read off cue cards. But yeah, Lesley stepped on her lines a few times. Emily gave it the good…
Has that guy not had an aneurysm yet?
Same. Emily was great, she always is. They just gave her so little to work with and none of the sketches really focused on her. They all felt like filler.
I had a feeling SNL would totally waste Emily Blunt. They waste all of their guests who have a subtler, more sarcastic sense of humor. SNL is not subtle and their weakness is not tailoring their humor to their guests' style or personas.
Emily Blunt is hilarious, but she's dry and caustic and an excellent dignified…
Like the movie.
Are they trying to turn Harley into Tank Girl now? Because this looks pretty bargain-bin imitation….
I feel like this description applies to a lot of big movie studios these days.
Actually if I have to see any more of her, especially as Harley and especially looking like she's about to unhinge her jaw and devour us all in these relentless grimacing press images, I may just lose the will to live.
I'm sick of everyone and everything to do with this movie.
If Viola Goddamn Davis can't save a movie, it's unsalvageable.
I had hoped.
What a letter to receive!
Eeeeeverywhere, robot Clevon. It's HBO!
