Don’t feel like compiling a list, but Auto Erotic Assimilation is usually my go-to when I want to introduce someone to the show. It’s hilarious, heartfelt, and you don’t really need to know anything about the show for it to make sense.

Hi, yeah, that’s not how a good director should be working with any actor, let alone children. This myth of directors and acting teachers needing to manipulate and abuse actors (to program actors to seek their approval and feed their own ego) needs to fucking die. It’s a bullshit, toxic environment that is utterly…
I’m inclined to agree with you about Gus having a great final scene in Fun & Games. He didn’t come into the story until season 3, and has never been the centerpiece of this show.
It just hit me today—-this is likely the last time we’ll ever see characters like Mike and Gus (who would both be too old to do another prequel) in original content.
The Night House seriously disturbed me due to Hall’s performance. The plot had a lot of threads and probably would be a less memorable movie if she hadn’t been cast.
I can’t process Rebecca Hall is at the age where she can plausibly (?) play the mom of an 18 year old. She just always seems 30-ish. Saw the preview for this and it looks great, love a good psychological thriller.
It is definitely weekly. Jerry and Gene are always talking about Nebraska football and college football is played once a week on Saturdays. Plus Gene is shown training Jeff to quickly navigate to twenty different sections of a store - that is something that isn’t going to happen in the course of a week either.
Not necessarily. There isn’t any real rush to do the caper, so they could take a while to set it up. They are talking about different college football games constantly which only happen once a week. It could have been multiple successive weeks up to a couple months to get it all down pat.
He did it for leverage on Jeffy. Although he does love the action.
It wasn’t for the clothes, he doesn’t even keep any of them. Gene needed blackmail bait against Jeff.
Looks like we all have a different definition of what “breakout role” means. Was Keke Palmer in Spider-Man without me noticing? The tweet linked says that Euphoria was Zendaya’s breakout role, but maybe that’s because the tweeter in question never saw Spider-Man? I really can’t stress enough how much cultural cachet…
I mean, if it were absolutely perfect CGI, you’d still know it’s not real. Right? Right??
Not a retcon button. Freshman Year just isn’t canon to the MCU.
The CGI still has me a teensy bit worried, but the show itself looks pretty fun with this trailer.
And apparently 4th-wall breaks, like the comic!
Amen.
This is what the people want.
I LOVED both of those series, but they were definitely too short. Definitely welcome a longer series. 😄
So this definitely looks like they are adapting the first story arc and expanding it a bit. Not sure I’m a fan of that. The whole quest to get this items of power back was interesting in the comic because it’s played up to be this big long quest but then wraps up in like three issues.
It’s pretty clear Jenna Coleman is the only Constantine appearing.
