Moffat’s era was one of the best and most creative the show has ever seen. even with the misfires which every era has, he gave us two incredible Doctors and some of the greatest episodes in the show’s history.

I still wish Jamie Mathieson had taken over, damn he had a strong debut
I guess this is the case, given that Katie seems to not be a fan of Flanagan’s “florid speeches” which are actually some of my favourite moments in his catalogue (in particular: the woman’s monologue in Hill House episode 1, Robert Longstreet’s monologue about his son later in the season, and Ewan McGregor’s speech…
very observant - the sacred and the propane
that’s one of my favourite performances in recent memory. her delivery of “god snaps his fingers, and the hero goes to hell” lives rent-free in my head
hi, is this where I grouch about how they did Mythic Quest dirty and better not do the same to Reservation Dogs next year? yes? ok sweet
no Kevin was a bummer, especially with the most Cheddar action we’ve had in ages
was wondering if this was the case too, but I like what we got better. the show did the Big Event Ending with the Jake/Amy marriage already, the low-stakesness of the last 10 minutes here felt a lot truer to the show imo
yeah the bridge of “Summer Elaine” is something special - come to think of it, every bridge on White is really just phenomenal. great melodies and tonal variance all throughout, it’s one of the reasons it’s my favourite Weezer record. the way they updated their sound in general while still paying tribute to The Beach…
damn I'll be at work, but if you don't mind just leaving the flaming in my inbox, I'll definitely sift through it all when I get home
gonna throw out a spicy one here: White is their best album and LA Girlz their best song
the camerawork was indeed impeccable (that top-down shot of Madison running through her house was superlative) and the dialogue was indeed absolutely atrocious (Sidney’s line about foetuses may genuinely be one of the worst ever written or performed)
oh hey, the really special thing you’re talking about already happened! it was Little Simz releasing the best hip-hop album this year by far
Annihilation?
I loved the look of that Christopher scene personally. the show started to full-on lean into some supernatural vibes with it's last few seasons so it's not exactly a big departure to at least hint at it here
it's their best and one of the best movies of all time if you ask me. absolute masterclass filmmaking
I didn’t really like Everlight either, if that makes you feel better. appreciate what it was going for and all, but it ended up feeling like a weaker version of a Community concept episode I think
can’t wait to hear this, her Tiny Desk performance the other day was unbelievable and “Introvert” might be my favourite song of the year so far. Simz is the best of her generation
it was absolutely incredible imo. far better than the first and I adored the first. they were firing on all cylinders
good! best new show of this TV season by far. still waiting on that Mythic Quest renewal notice, but this will do fine in the meantime
