Tilda Swinton as every member of The Endless? I’m down

Jubilee really deserved a full review here, imo. what an absolutely phenomenal album

“you should see them live, they're much better live"

no offense to Metric and all, but Brie Larson’s version of this song is the best one

but only if Daniel Craig progressively slips into his Benoit Blanc accent the drunker he gets

y’all really buried the lede, Tim Blake Nelson should be in the damn headline

still hoping we get the Most Wanted pilot on an Agents of SHIELD boxset, or something - it’s been such a big question mark with the fans for so long now. like, maybe it’s just honestly bad, but I’ll take a bad pilot for a bit more Bobbi and Hunter, y’know?

Rami Malek's acting in 407 is genuinely some of the best I've seen. Absolutely staggering performance

I guess I’m very down for this, Palm Springs was one of my favourite movies of last year and Mr. Robot’s last season was some of the finest TV in recent memory.

Modest Mouse are one of my favourite bands, but their last album six years ago was a big swig of nothing and the singles more recently were honestly terrible. I’ll listen to the new one for sure, it might have some good songs, but they’re just a band way past their prime who could have bowed out gracefully after We

Finding myself weirdly indifferent to this month, just not a lot of stuff catching my interest. I am excited for Crowded House’s comeback this week - Neil Finn doesn’t write bad songs - and the excellent Australian psych/funk/trip-hop band Hiatus Kaiyote towards the end of the month. Other than those, catchup month

I straight up didn’t watch the last episode of the revival, being totally certain that it would suck as all of Carter’s modern stuff has (last straw for me was that fucking baffling reveal in 11x1 that most of the previous finale was a vision Scully was having or some shit?)

I preferred Squid’s Bright Green Field from this year, but that’s mostly because I just can’t make it through too much of black midi’s vocalist before I have to take a break. they’re unbelievably talented musicians, though - but Squid are outstanding at melding angular post-punkiness to simple fun bangers

I mean if they really dive into how batshit crazy the MK comics get this will be a very good showcase for his acting talents and range

David Thewlis as John Dee is a) some fucking inspired nightmare fuel that will haunt me forever and b) suggests they're at least adapting part of 24 Hours, which is the best part of the first book, so that's sweet

Devil All the Time sucked. it wasn’t as baffling/headache-inducing as Tenet, sure, but it was just such a pointless parade of miserable things happening to miserable people with no attempt at engaging the audience or giving them respite. about the time of the suicide scene I just totally checked out, like I had no

yeah, fully agreed. I think the best example is that big argument Ian and Poppy have in the season one finale. it’s not like your normal TV argument where both parties are at 100% screaming the whole time and breaking stuff. it’s actually written and framed like a real argument, the way it picks up, they arrive at a

I am taking it as a personal affront that the Sharon Van Etten/Angel Olsen collab isn't listed here. best song of the damn year

this show is very very good at threading that needle. almost every main character has moments of deep unlikeability, if not outright despicableness and absolutely none of them are entirely wholesome and flawless. at the same time they aren’t outsized, simplistic monsters that beg you to hate them- their flaws spring

this was such a great episode, I love that Pudi is getting a chance to stretch his considerable acting muscles beyond just playing a one-dimensional scheming moneymaker (which to be fair he was also very good at)
