Noah Schnapp broke my heart in this episode, first with the shouting match with Mike (who really has become a massive dick these past two seasons) and then smashing down Castle Byers. it’s crazy to think this kid (I don’t know if kid’s the right word, it looks like he’s aged three years since S2) felt like someone

The Orphanage is incredible too

I wasn’t quite prepared for chubby, crazy dad Hopper. they really never stop finding ways to push the limit of Harbour’s natural charisma, and I love it

every answer I’ve seen him give on there is humorous, beautiful, heartbreaking or a combination of the three. he truly is one of our best

it’s so gorgeous, and kind of a bummer that I had to wait till the credits to find out Damien Jalet (of Suspiria 2018!) did the choreography. the trio of him, Yorke and PTA on one project is kind of unbelievable

that was the single-take episode and yes, it was absolutely fantastic. you can pretty much stop watching after that one, it’s the clear peak

excellent news! my friend frantically starting tapping me on the shoulder when Mjolnir shifted, him obviously having figured it out just a second before I did, and then when the entire theatre realised what was happening there was an eruption of applause from everywhere. people were standing up and clapping it

this is how it feels following a lot of hip-hop, unfortunately - in particular Freddie Gibbs being anti-vax was a hella disappointing development in the last few weeks

Thom Yorke is very not-conservative, don’t worry - read his interview with Crack for evidence of that

Green Mile as middle-of-the-road is... an opinion for sure

it’s such a shame Kate disappeared from the show completely after this phenomenal scene

this is one of the best reviews I’ve read on the site in a minute, and goddamn I’m so excited. haven’t even heard the singles

I had absolutely no idea the guy who directed Ex Machina and Annihilation wrote those films with Danny Boyle. that’s today’s fun fact

you definitely need to watch up to when Leland dies, imo - it even feels like a season finale with the final scene between Coop, Harry, Albert and Mayor Briggs. jumping straight from Maddy’s death to the end is just jarring

You Are Secretariat

“...and one fairly solid, fairly out-of-place sex-robot gag”

surprised not to see Better Oblivion Community Center anywhere here, as far as the wave of indie folk stuff with which Phoebe Bridgers is either largely or tangentially involved (yes that’s basically a genre unto itself at this point) I think it’s the clear best. “Dylan Thomas” and “Service Road” get spins every other

“Runwayaway” better be a sequel to Kanye’s “Runaway” or I cancel my pre-order!

you’re telling me you really think Keanu Reeves ages?

I actually thought T2 was excellent. The bar karaoke scene and all of Begbie’s arc are on par with the best of the first film.
