That should be the norm, not the amazing exception that it is…

Can you even imagine Sorkin's take on Martin's dialogue?!?

That would be appointment viewing for me. Conleth Hill has made Varys pretty much my favorite character. I was surprised how much less personality he had on the page when I started reading the books after season 3 of the show started.

Well now that Renly and Loras are both gone, there's definitely been a lot less backsta…sorry, I'll show myself out.

Elaborate please! I so enjoy strict enforcement of society's rules that should be obvious to us all but aren't. (No, really)

It looks like they're wrapping up all the action-y stuff this season, so I'm hoping Season 8 will just be procedural meetings on how best to govern the newly peaceful kingdom.

If you're not careful you may just end up with a 12-inch pianist.

Hang on a sec, you're telling me you don't use more than 1 toilet at a time? Where'd you grow up, Dogpatch?

Speaking as a hetero guy with a fairly high drive, the thought of a threesome has never appealed to me. I'd rather focus on giving it my all with 1 woman.

My rule of thumb is to shoehorn my way into a conversation, then talk about myself and my interests exclusively. Once people see how enthusiastic I am about it, they inevitably realize how lame whatever it was they were droning on about was, and listen with rapt attention.

Huh, interesting. That's not what we all think of you here when you're not around and we're all talking about you…

But what about all the "nice guys" out there?? Don't you know how nice they are? What's that, maybe you don't think they're quite as nice as they do themselves?

The Disqus coders get off on messing around with the commenting system like that…

I think Stephen King already did that one…

I'm totally with you. I will still re-read Rabin's My World of Flops piece about Studio 60 from time to time. There's no question Sorkin can write, but when he doesn't have another strong hand to rein him in, it gets a little too sanctimonious. That show is still such a beautiful disaster to look back on.

One of my favorite bits ever in the Simpsons. My friends and I still use Pure Hilarity! Pure Homer!

Wiig wasted on the plane makes my cry with laughter every time I see it.

It's one of the few movies I actively dislike rather than being indifferent to.

He must be a wooden wagon that's somehow self-propelled because there are no horses right??

AVClub: Come for the dwindling amount of interesting articles and reviews, stay for the eternal derision of a now-10-year-old failed Aaron Sorkin show…
