I had a similar thought about the vibers when they were trying to stop the missle from launching. Seems like they'd be able to pull a similar trick as Blink did in Days of Future Past, open a portal for the missle to go through, and have the exit deposit it right next to the sun or something.
When the show opened on Mon-El in bed, I immediately (and somewhat ashamedly) thought about the Mallrats bit about Superman. I would've assumed she's a virgin too. A normal human would presumably not be up to the task, physically speaking.
