It also gave many of us our first glimpse at peak Catherine Zeta-Jones.

As a wise man once said, "Wherever you go, there you are."

It really is, it's just…so…90's.

I think that's why I hold #1 higher than a lot of people do- To me De Palma does the suspense thing very well.

That is very interesting, I love hearing the background stuff like that. HOWEVER- My issues with Woo go beyond MI:2, I just can't get into his aesthetic with the doves and the slo-mo and the balletic gun action and the fireworks sounds when things explode and the glayvin, oy….

My list is very similar, I'd just swap 4 and 1 because of the suspense atmosphere De Palma created that I love. I grudgingly include 2 because it is technically a Mission Impossible film even though Woo did his damnedest to slo-mo shot of doves flying it to death.

From a certain point of view?

Augusta just may be the most generous use of "Capital city" in the US. Portland absolutely rules, we stopped downtown there on the way up to have a real lunch and the food was amazing.

We were so far east (Eastern-most spot in the US!) that our phones were giving us Atlantic time.

If it's any consolation, Maine doesn't have a city even approaching 100k, let alone 200. Northern Maine even has potatoes in common with Idaho.

We just got back from vacation in Maine, a mere two states away. It was about 360 miles from here, took 6 hours and it seemed like forever.

They're the only green things he owns…

That's why I like going to the movies when it's colder out- so many more pockets to sneak food in with!

Except for George H.W. Bush

I'm late to the miscasting party, but I try to never miss an opportunity to bring up Julian McMahon as Dr. Doom as one of the worst casting choices in any movie ever filmed.

Little known fact- When Goodwin and Romita originally created Cage, they wanted his name to be 'Bull I. Blackmon'

Somehow I'd never come across 'anti-choice' before, but it's perfect, and gets around the inherent ridiculousness of 'pro-life' completely disregarding the woman's life and her rights.

Well said

Speaking of HBO NOW/GO, when in the hell is Larry Sander going to show up?!? They made the announcement back in what, April?

I like this- Obviously something pretty big has to happen at the end for her to realize "Ok, mom was right, Man's World does indeed suck, I'm out!" and stay that way for the next hundred years up to BvS.
