This looks bad, but it doesn’t quite complete the cycle from so bad to so good like the Donatella Versace movie.

This administration is so fucking corrupt it’s making me long for the integrity of the Bush administration.

Now playing

The only reason he’s out is because of this being found out by the news media. We NEED to find out what’s going on with this administration and Russia. This shit is way out of control. Trump knew this happened and I’m totally convinced he ordered it and Flynn is the fall guy.

“Also, and here’s the thing that always gets me with these kind of “let the man be part of the decision bills” - if they want to have equal say in whether or not a woman should get an abortion shouldn’t they be automatically legally responsible for at least 50% of taking care of that child once it’s born?”

If by law, they get 24/7 of the first 40 weeks after birth, and at the end of that 40, have to spend 24 straight hours breaking up a concrete slab with a sledge hammer, or run an ultra marathon, or re-roof a house all by themselves. (I don’t care what, just some serious physical labor, unpaid, that carries a risk of

I was actually preparing a comment asking why it’s such a terrible idea for partners to have a say in reproductive matters, but I decided to shut up and listen. Glad I did, cause you raise very valid points, as well as others in this thread.

Learning. It’s not just fer kids.

He should never be able to tell a woman what to do with her body, but I want to see riders put on these bills to make the so financially onerous for men that the legislatures back off. 100% of child care expenses, the mother’s medical bills, and lost wages for the mother would be a good eye opener.

If the man is going to prevent a woman from getting an abortion, he should have to pay 100% of the cost of raising the kid.

Even in the most egalitarian of relationships, like my own!, it’s impossible for a true 50/50 split. But you know this guy thinks that’s just how the cookie crumbles and we had a whole lifetime to get used to the idea. I HAVE a baby, and I’m still not used to the idea. :-/

And the fact that there is over $1 Billion in unpaid child support really highlights this issue.

I mean, at least he’s being honest about what the anti-choice movement really believes about women. It’s like he’s pulling back the curtain to show the reality of the anti-choice position instead of the “we care about women” narrative they try to espouse.

And we know Hollywood is capable of doing this if they really want to. How many hit films have we had where we get this “breakout star” (usually some hunky white man or sexy white woman) who then grows over the next few years to become an A-list celebrity? It’s time for Hollywood to work its magic on people of color.

Yeah. That bothers me, but the thing (as a black woman) that has started to irk me more is when men of color are cast in big budget films as leads and they can’t ever be matched with a female romantic partner of color (of any ethnicity) - kind of like their presence in this big budget movies is somehow meta and they

I’m so over this “throw a strong white woman in the movie and call it diversity” shtick.

My thoughts too, I’m thinking, has Scarlett never watched a classic Hollywood film? Does she not know of Vivian Leigh, Ingrid Bergman, or Elizabeth Taylor??? Hollywood has relied on the allure of a beautiful white woman protagonist since the beginning. It’s 2017 girlfriend.

I usually stay away from this term but I have reached my goddamn limit.

This. I would be so much more interested in this movie if they had cast Rinko Kikuchi instead. Just based off her work in Pacific Rim I think she would have been great for this.

There’s a host of amazingly talented non-white women out there who can be leads in anything. Stop making white women the default. It’s old and pathetic.
