“It is my understanding that there’s a constant tension for addicts between doing stuff (acting in Star Wars, acting in Catastrophe, and so on,) and taking care of your sobriety.”
“To our hero because you never give up and teach us that everyday.”
I am totally down with your comment, except: People do get shamed for having clinical depression (“snap out of it,” “get over it,” “you’re letting everybody down,” “I don’t see why you can’t just...,” etc.)
I’ve been on the fence about blanket legalization, but I wonder how many unknowing fentanyl/etc. ODs could have been prevented if folks were getting an “official” batch of heroin. Like, all of them?

At least Canada has a Truth and Reconciliation Commission. I mean, from what you’re saying, it doesn’t change much IRL, but I can’t imagine the U.S. even admitting we need one....
“...cognitive behavioral therapy is quickly becoming a widespread tool for people who have destructive behavior and wish to change it.”
Re: *: I hear you loud and clear, and I wish I didn’t. I am drowning in detritus.
