MY YOUNG CHILD LISTENED TO GASTON’S SONG AND THEN ATE FIVE DOZEN EGGS, CAUSING HIS STOMACH TO EXPLODE!!

And there’s the rub: Ursula is the villain, therefore it’s clear to children watching that Ursula is wrong when she sings these lines.

So, a company whose business model is buying up other companies, and whose value is solely in how many companies they can buy, lost half their money when someone said they weren’t going to give them even more money to buy more companies.

Same thing as the  movie industry. No middle ground anymore. It’s either massive bloated blockbusters or tiny no budget indies. This is just the endpoint of how capitalism works in media nowadays and it’s not going to change until there’s a massive crash in the industry.

There’s something so depressing about the fact that GTA, a franchise which started as this sort of countercultural, rough-and-tumble satire, has ballooned into this Hollywoodized monstrosity.

There seems to be a growing perception that every AAA game must be a forever-game with 60+ hours of busy-work over a highly replayable game.

Nobody in the world actually was excited about some kind of face-off between these two movies.

Ugh. I can’t believe my unquenchable desire to rewatch The Wire for the 9th time is subsidizing this bullshit.

Other than the hexagon puzzle - yes. For some reason I can piece together any puzzle in any game, but the second you make me rearrange pictures in a limited space I’m braindead and helpless.

Yup, MS was also guilty of anti-competitive and anti-consumer bullshit when they were the market leaders. Basically, these companies are only pro-consumer when they don’t have market leverage. The whole point of antitrust laws is to make them pro-consumer all of the time. Sadly, the regulators do a pretty poor job of

“Hey everyone! Let’s stop what we’re doing and let Bobby Kotick lecture us about morality and decency in business!”

Bobby Motick is a piece of shit, who cares what he has to say.

Hi, just a friendly reminder that Bobby Kotick is a piece of shit and the world would be better off if literally the entire fleet of Greyhound busses ran over him (and the rest of Activision-Blizzard executive leadership, for that matter).

“And I know a lot about obvious disappointing behavior for almost 30 years!”

Um, peaked? CoD still sells ridiculously well. Sure, a few titles have underperformed, but they’re still a massively powerful IP.

This seems like a tacit admission on MS’ part that after the 10 year guarantees they’re signing to try and get the deal across the finish line expire, they are in fact going to do all the things that people are afraid they’re going to do (Xbox exclusivity for COD, etc.)?

“...dismally-received DC film...”

Ocarina of Time had it in 1998. And like every mechanic in Ocarina of Time, Mega Man Legends did it first in 1997. Wild Guns had it back in 1994. Flashback had it in 1992.

I mean GoW had it before Souls games.

Any explanation as to why RE:CV got snubbed in this wave of remakes? I’m almost expecting to see RE5 getting a remake before CV
