Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m seeing a caption under the Brooks post specifically congratulating him on “punching his ticket to Rio” (not that that does anything except further the evidence that it appears Bergensen is being singled out).

The yellow card rule is asinine, especially not giving any consideration for the extra game the round of 16 would be contributing to the accumulation. That being said, you still have (mostly) top-flight players representing their country on a global scale which I’ll always find enjoyable to watch.
