The good news is that matrix headlamps were approved in February of this year by Sec. of Transportation.  Just takes time to implement given the lead time in headlights - the approval came as something of a surprise.

17s are rough, but other MYs are fine.  Problems per 100 is about the same as any of the Germans.  People just love to pick on low hanging Italian fruit.

You let him into the world of figuring out how to “do Jeeps” - this is both dangerous and brilliant.

Can’t believe nobody made this joke yet, but to the tune of “Fernando” by ABBA:

The black seats with red door panels are a weird touch.  Go red on the bolsters or something.

FYI the Honda Domani was sold in North America as the Acura 1.6 EL in Canada.

You can already see through the camo this hideous new “hooded” headlight look that they’re going for where the headlight looks like an underbite of the leading edge of the hood.  Just tragically awful design.

I don’t understand this.  You just paid off the car (what bank will finance a 20 year old car?) and now you want to trade for potentially another payment (unless you want an equal swap out).  Why? Why not enjoy having no payment and a great sports car?

I believe that honor goes to the weirdly named “BMW ACTIVE HAND TOWEL” for $17.

I’m just curious, what’s the market for an electric sports car?

It’s eligible for a variety of incentives depending on the country so the actual out the door price is somewhere in the mid-$60's.

A few errors in this article. The Nissan V6 is a 3.8 not a 3.6.

So is this just like a blue collar version of the Cayenne Turbo GT?  This sort of seems like it is and it even ends in GT!

The Atlas isn’t as MQB as you might think. It’s sort of MQB and also sort of NMS Passat - kind of a weird mish-mash according to my friends at VW. The current Tiguan is true MQB as is the Taos. Shame they didn’t give us the Euro Touareg.

240 HP with the PHEV in Europe.

It’s more than just demand. Read yesterday in the WSJ that OPEC+ is having international infighting with its member nations. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are at odds over some geopolitical pissing contest.

The strangest use of Cadillac 2nd-Gen CTS taillamps I’ve ever seen. Weird - like some sort of cat call to GM and the K-5 Blazer-inspired front end.

I was thinking it was some kind of snowbird - spent summers in NY and winters in FL.  Kept the car registered in FL for significantly cheaper insurance + registration.
