I’m in Erik Paulsen’s district. He hasn’t held an in-person town hall in years, but does hold phone town halls, in which people whose phone number his office has are randomly called at an unannounced date/time to be invited to listen to him handpick his questions and not see any of his constituents face to face.

I was just about to post something similar. I’m not a sore loser, I’m a pissed off citizen who doesn’t want to see my country destroyed by bigots and hypocrites.

One of my mom’s friends called our reps up for days to get a meeting. She told them she was calling the newspaper. She talked to a reporter and the reporter emailed our reps. Crossfire was complete garbage. I’m glad it’s off the air because it didn’t even involve meaningful debate. It was just two pundits screaming at each other.

I will forever remember Carlson for getting eviscerated by Jon Stewart. It is now thirteen years later, and this is still incredibly satisfying to watch.

This is a leap, yes. But how else is a person “vocal in [their] identity as a straight woman”? Was she organizing Straight Pride Days? Was she dealing with an overwhelming disrespect towards her straightness that demanded that she stand up for herself?

My immediate first thought too. No one gets “bullied” for being what society perceives as normal unless you are being a complete asshole.

Agreed that her “98%” figure is so absurd that it seems to speak to a resentment of her lesbian teammates. Probably something her teammates and others in the league picked up on quickly, and didn’t appreciate.

Maybe they are trying to determine whether this was a prank by one asshole or an orchestrated blast of vandalism by a group. And if it was by a group, which one? There are a terrifying amount of them who list themselves as anti-Jewish.

In his Facebook “statement,” he claimed something along the lines of “I was just trying to be funny about the whole ‘being the agressor’ thing, actually it might not have been that awesome giving head to Father Michael.” Milo is fucked up. He needs therapy, not a “free speech” platform.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if part of the intent of his remarks was to raise the specter of gays preying on kids. He’s a staggeringly self-hating gay.

It’s not. But that’s the hypocrisy. Women are sexual objects pretty much up for grabs as soon as men say so. But boys? Not the same. 

I know 13 year old boys. They’re still kids. Their bodies are bigger but they’re still kids in their minds. I noticed he didn’t talk about girls just boys. Frankly way to play into that fear homophobes have about gays targeting their children.
