My thoughts exactly. No one but the game devs are going to know the plot to Elden Ring now.

Ugh, Bravely Default. This game is the epitome of a game thumbing its nose at the players time. I put down the game and stopped playing when I got to the loop portion of the game. I was disgusted in a way I’ve never been with a game before, and have not been again since.
The soul of a Demon is an inferno of wrath! And so is my jealousy that you’re already playing this.
Seeds?
Whenever I watch a horror movie where the ensemble is bickering among themselves like idiots while the monster kills them off, on-by-one, I always used to think to myself: “There’s no way anyone would fight over petty nonsense when faced with imminent mortal danger.”
I’ve been thinking about replaying this game for a long time. I played a couple of hours but don’t really remember why I dropped it.
This guy is like the Charlie Chaplin of cheese-fondue based mishaps. His response was just *chef’s kiss.*
Ahh, the eel! He was always extra scary because if he didn’t outright kill you, he might leave you with too little health to avoid making Mario drown. Traumatic.
Bloodborne is unsuprisingly horrifying. Kudos to the sound designers in particular. The enemies shriek, howl and gurgle and it can be really unnerving. Play with headphones. :D
Clicked for this. Was not disappointed.
Shoot the hostage, who in this scenario seems to be myself. Given the question posed... I think I’m on board.
A two hour ride through a barren desert can be compelling when placed in the hands of a competent writer, director, and crew. See Mad Max: Fury Road.
Agreed. The Bones crew are incredibly talented and stylish, but sometimes it’s just too much, too quick and nothing really registers.
Seconded. Booting up Super Mario 64 again after 20 years away is a nostalgia bomb, and I had forgotten how wonderful it is in so many ways.
Tactics has the best JRPG orchestral soundtrack, bar none. Still hoping for a new non-phone port of this game.
I’m on board for that. Next to Amano, whose aesthetic has never really been translated faithfully to the games, Yoshida is my favorite Final Fantasy character designer.
Akihito Yoshida is listed as working on the game according to Wikipedia. No surprise the designs have a Vagrant Story look to them.
It might have worked better if they left it with Basch as the main character, but I don’t think Vaan (and Penelo) as characters were necessarily bad additions, at least in theory.
I tried to play this game several times over the years and just couldn’t sustain my enthusiasm to get through it. But multiple attempts meant hearing this song in the intro FMV many times, and the track is so damn good that I remember it to this day.
