Yep, “beefed it” is a new one to me, to.

Wow! That is a pretty amazing experience getting to meet those guys and drive the prototype. Kudos to you!

But that’s only 60% charge and only on vehicles with small-ish batteries.”

I’ve owned 5 GM Voltecs and you don’t have to charge them if you don’t want to. Thus, there would be no reason to wait around for it to charge as long as there is gas in the tank. They were perfect for commuting as you could simply plug it in when you got home and let them charge overnight.

1st Gear: There is no lukewarm reception after you just cited selling 1 million EVs in a year for the first time ever.

SuperCharging or DC Fast Charging requires roughly 15 minutes or less to hit 80% which is what you need to do on any road trip in any modern EV.

I’ve owned 5 different Voltec vehicles(2 G1 Volts, 1 G2 Volt, Caddy ELR and Caddy CT6 PHEV). They were pretty darned awesome. The CT6 PHEV was my favorite because, dayum, that car should have sold for 100k+ considering the features that it had.

The G1 ICE was incapable of motivating the car on its own. The G1 Volt only had a mechanical connection at highway speeds. Allegedly there was a speed where it made sense for it connect to add a bit of power. Having owned two G1s I could never discern this connection which many other G1 owners were also suspect of as

My pleasure!  ;-)

So this is like the first gen Chevy Volt.  Cool.

You talked about range anxiety but never actually documented what sort of consumption the vehicle used.

Out of curiosity, would it take 25 minutes to walk to the other hall through the tunnel?

He had to be going 130+ at times in this video WHILE PASSING people.

Test Mules are different from Pre-Production cars.

I’ve noticed this the last 8-10 months. Seems like an editorial slant where they constantly push these sort of takes.

This is NOT a test mule. This is a pre-production vehicle and they are NOT built to break down. They are built to test out manufacturing and design process for all sorts of issues.   Breaking down is NOT one of them.

My wife and I cross shopped the BMX IX, Audi Etron Q8 and MB EQE and EQS SUVs.

Wife bought an IX in all black. It makes the bucktooth look disappear. It certainly has an odd appearance. LOL

Tell me you haven’t driven one without telling me that you’ve driven one.

Could it be demand? Sure.
