What about Polestar P2 and the Volvo XC40?

FYI, the car is located in Ft Myers, Florida, which took a direct hit from Hurricane Ian.

Thanks for pointing out that plastics are from oil, I understand that. Roughly 50% of oil companies’ profits are now from plastics. Unfortunately, as you all noted, that is completely unavoidable.

All good points, but I switched to EVs strictly because I don’t want to pay ANY money to oil companies.

Well, that’s like your opinion, man.

My Aunt had this car sans the turbo. It was a slug without the boost.

Fun fact about the G-wagen, I spoke with a salesman who said that all the "ballers" try to buy these and typically have the worst credit and end up getting C lenders and high repossession rates. Go figure!

There aren't cheap EVs because they don't make enough money to justify their existence yet.

I’m going to take a guess that you live in South Florida. Am I right?

In July of 2021 I leased a Volvo XC40 P8 Recharge (it is a BEV) with a 60k MSRP. At the time, Volvo offered a program that applied the entire 7500 tax credit off the MSRP of the vehicle. So the car was now 52,500. I then managed to get another 1,800 off of that. Long story short, I’m paying roughly $715 per month for

The front and rear visibility out of this looks atrocious.

I am in the core demographics for a Tesla buyer: a well-paid tech guy.

My Cadillac CT6 had the rearview mirror video option.....SIX YEARS AGO in 2018!!!!!

I’ve got a friend who is a sports writer who focuses on the behind the scenes business of sport and he covered the Miami F1 race. He said everyone there was absolutely stinking rich. There were celebrities all over the place. None of them cared about the race. They were all there for business opportunities.

The high horsepower output is a byproduct of the fast charging.  The faster that you can move power in equals the ability to discharge power.  In essence, the power is free so you might as well offer it.

This is much “sportier” than the Lyriq.

Oh, problematic for sure!  Apparently Bosch was the wiring harness supplier and they had some sort of screw up with the insulation used in the wiring.  After 5 years the insulation started cracking and exposing the cars to all sorts of electrical gremlins.

How about the best?

I’m sure there were plenty of people outside the area that would have been happy to hold onto his cars for a few days.  Heck, we’d even come and get them!!!!

This thing is 116k?!?!?
