Question for those with knowledge about these, the header pic shows the trailing edge of the door with what looks to be a massive gap. Is it like that on all S2K or is this possibly bad body alignment due to unknown reasons?

I read that same blurb regarding the 400-800 cycles for NiMH on Google, however I think the 20 years of age is FAR more of the factor here for the batteries.
