I feel like this story is incomplete without mentioning that it’s against PUC code in New Jersey to shut off customers who are dependent upon electricity to stay alive via medical equipment. I feel like too many people are taking this down the wrong road bc of that omission.

In Texas, it’s against the law for them to disconnect electricity from a house that has a person dependent upon medical equipment to survive. It’s in the PUC codes. I’m horrified that this has to be a law.
