Controversial opinion: cooking is just not very hard. That’s why it’s such a boys club. It’s 95% on the ingredients and the rest is time management. This so much. Also, another thing that boils my blood is that these male chefs always cite their mother’s cooking as inspiration. Yet these same male chefs do not respect women in professional kitchens.

A few years ago there was a Top Chef Masters meet-and-greet after a benefit and a superfan friend of mine scored an invite. She had the biggest crush on John Besh - until she met him.
