I’m definitely not a communist, maybe a little socialist, but sometimes you look at capitalism practices and just go “boy this is fucked”.

The buy here/pay here lots are predatory as hell. Many people never end up paying those cars off.

We’ve had commercial airplane travel for a century now. The novelty of flying is long gone, so I think it’s fair to expect the accommodations to be better and more comfortable than they were in the past. Only, it seems like we’ve regressed.

Truthfully I think jet travel gets a bad rep purely from the frustration of getting onto one. Is it any surprise that people get in all sorts of ways if the seat is too far back after spending hours just getting on the plane?

It’s an example of racism; it’s not the definition of racism. There are other forms of racism. If I say “All Asians are good at math,” that’s not declaring myself superior to another race based on race. But it is racism.

Imitating an accent for the sake of treating another culture as a joke is probably racist. But apparently this meme keeps going with explicitly racist jokes. So.

“Pretending to be dominant over another race” is not the definition of racism.

1. Since it became adopted by the alt right and used heavily in their memes.
2. Because it is relevant to the article. It’s difficult to discuss racism without actually using an example or two.

Most of us assume some braking occurred right before the collision. Still, emergency response vehicles are built like tanks. They can take a hit.

How do you even go 65mph when there are emergency vehicles parked in front of you? I really hope they give him so many points on his licence, that his license will become automatically suspended for the remainder of days.

Given the damage on that Tesla, how it’s wedged under the firetruck, it’s a safe bet that the car did start braking at some point.

Well... so far it’s;

Does this work for replicants though

“Anonymous” there means “a journalist knew their names, and confirmed that they’re police officers, but agreed not to identify them by name.”

There’s a massive difference between anonymous stories (as in the reporter can confirm that they’re police officers they just aren’t giving the name) and unconfirmed stories (as in the people on reddit could literally be anyone pretending to be a cop).

All enforcement is selective and most of what police are for is to enforce economic order and collect monies for government. The cards are only upsetting or even surprising to those who believe various laws for those purposes is some sort of moral code or for people’s own good or some such instead of simply a way to

Unconfirmed. The difference is that four separate sources confirmed the information in the story, albeit anonymously. The individual anecdotes were posted online and were not able to be corroborated, so they weren’t included. Basic journalism standards, adhered to.

If you don’t like the predator grille, you are old (at heart).

People are also severely over-valuing a 2010 Jeep...

Considering every single 90's Honda around the DC Metro area is like riced up and street raced to total shit and they want 4k...gonna have to go with NP.
