Ok, lot of action on this discussion so far so hopefully this doesn’t see too much attention. An old German mechanic taught me how to hand start a VW, without pushing or rolling it.

You haven’t suggested any kind of alternative measurement though. Look at you, the only thing you can do is insult people and really have nothing constructive to add. What kind of person are you?

IDK, your laughable defensiveness seems to suggest you’re not as sure of that opinion as you present.

Those both look at least equally shitty.  Nice try.

Old Drag cars are junk drag cars.  NHRA teams throw their chassis away frequently because they twist so damn much.

Cars without engines can easily have engines put in them.

It won’t work because there’s no hydraulic pressure to operate the clutches and brake bands.

Way back in my college years I was working at a big box hardware store to pay for school. Sold a bunch of crap to some dude, who came back in 5 minutes later asking me to call him a tow truck because his battery was dead. I had helped him load the stuff so I knew it was a manual. “Push start it.”

So some friends of ours were over last weekend, and their 25-year-old son drove his motorcycle. I guess his battery or alternator is bad, because he couldn’t electric start it to go home.

Yeah, how about no. Speed cameras are BS.

Queue all the armchair engineers on why Toyota has no idea what they’re doing since BEVs are the future as their messiah Elon Musk has told them.

“This would cut down on weight really cleanly”

Again with this stupid shit. This is a dead end and of so little value to the environment. Electrify everything on and under the earth, leave the fossil fuels for flight.

I don’t think it’s fair to equate smashing into a truck or plowing directly into a highway barrier with a “fatality”. Teslas are very safe cars so when auto pilot rams you into something you should be fine. - Elon.

The problem there is the “many people actually use them to haul cargo and tools.” That’s the purpose of trucks; hauling cargo and tools, and for that purpose, they’re an appropriate tool. They are not, however, a substitute for “SUV’s and sedans.” Sedans, and SUV’s that are based on a car chassis, can handle well and
