I knew what you meant. The Buick/Olds was a 215 not a 250 anyway. I’m obtuse, ask anyone here.

I see what you did there.

I see what you did there.

I didn’t find much of anything sub $2K anymore. I think I wrote a check for my E39 with 49,XXX miles for $19,XXX in 2003/4. I thought the shifter was rubbery, but then again I put a TR3556 six speed in my *gasp* Mustang with an aftermarket shifter that made an old Ferrari seem smooth and easy to drive, so maybe I’m a

Somebody is going to get this.

The all aluminum Buick? I used to drool over a Bertone x1/9 with a stupid charger bolted to one of those in the FRONT.

Hey, that’s a criticism against the pricks not the porcupine. The E39 is a wonderful vehicle, particularly with the big V8, if you discount the rubbery shifter and the X-Type shifter is just as bad if not worse, and not nearly as fast.
I can’t find a sub $2k e39 or I would have. I just stumbled across the Jag.

I’m not too real sure how you can hoon an Avalon, but points to Raph for simultaneously flying under police radar and honing. Neat little trick.
I agree 100% that most Toyunders, this one in particular, belong to the “transportation appliance” category and are driven by left lane camping, soulless drones, but there is

So because your asshole is different from my asshole, does that mean it doesn’t stink?

Yeah, but it is still just a Toyota and puts you in the ranks with all the other members of the Toyota religion: left lane camping, transportation appliance driving, soulless, meh-for-brains drones that are the very bane of the existence of every automotive enthusiast everywhere. They are like the Apple fanbois, just

Does it get less dumb the more it gets posted?

Get off my lawn!

But yeah, sliding is fun and all and unless you have zero inputs, there is always a slip angle. Does that mean we are ALL drifters?

Where did I put my bindle???

Wait, what?? there’s music? That changes everything!

Hey, some people like watching paint dry too, or accordion music.

That doesn’t mean it’s not dumb. I mean look at some of the other things kids do these days.

Agreed.

Drifting is dumb and this is proof.

iono. I had an e39 540 amnd an e60 550. I also have the CobraSofa (a hot rodded Mark VIII that you can see in the pic above). I needed something that gets good mileage and it engaging to drive. The Jag fits the bill perfectly for under $2K, and makes this Toyunder look like an insane crack pipe.

This particular Jag is mostly Ford, yes so it is super reliable, with the possible exception of the dual mass flywheel, and beauty is in the eye of the beer holder, and I am known to hold quite a few of them.
I would drive almost anything before I’d drive a 30 year old Toyota of any ilk, much less a rusted out hulk.
