My old Firebird made just north of 600 HP as a daily driver for an 18 year old kid and the only time it got away from me was going to get new tires. It rained and I was on VERY bald tires.
Of course, a mid-engined supercar with over 600 horsepower driving the rear wheels is probably too fast for even a dry road.
