Wow, what a scandal. A typo. Oh no. Good thing you guys let Porsche know.

Click through to the source article.

This device is not a replacement for an Apple TV. In fact, it has as much to do with AirPlay as a power cable does. This is purely a device to enhance digital to analog conversion. For modern devices, this is mainly accomplished by reducing jitter. On good audio equipment, jitter is real and is the source of

Most Skylines are RWD.

I was not aware that they did. It looks like that's only in their tablets. That's just a dumb thing to have done. Regardless, in a phone, it is all microUSB and the plethora of Android phones which don't lack in any function (rather generally exceeding) that my current iPhone 4 has.

Sometimes it's just a typo. I know the difference between their/there/they're yet sometimes I just type the wrong thing. Oh, and of course iPhones tend to autocorrect correctly spelled words based on context.

Your Rolex analogy doesn't fly at all. You know how many legitimate watches there are that look nearly identical to each other? And they all just look like a Rolex.

Maybe he's thinking back to his younger days when an old used AE86 was just a cheap econobox.

I acknowledge that only with the popularity of something like the iPhone can such accessories be AVAILABLE. I was merely speaking from a technical standpoint.

Which makes more sense as Samsung would want to research and use this tech in their own phones. Sharp doesn't have competing devices they could use them in.

The article is mostly spot-on factually. However, them saying that Apple's 30 pin connector is one of the "most efficient, versatile, future-proof and forward-thinking gadgets" they've ever made is a little bit of a reach. Prior to the 30 pin connector, Ericsson, Samsung, LG, and dozens of other companies had very

I'm assuming (and judging by the diagram shown) that the audio outputs are analog signals. There doesn't seem to be some kind of digital audio interface at all.

Sure the post said that, but should we take that at face value? The fact is that other phones have similar functionality whilst using a conventional USB connection.

haha, good eye

I think the reduction of pins makes that more likely. USB data can't be removed (for obvious reasons) which is how I'm assuming digital audio is transported.

AES encryption is really good.

170k NYC miles? LOL dude, where you from?

Just looked it up because I thought the same, but there is some debate about whether any phone besides the iPhone1 (and possible the 3GS) use Gorilla Glass.

Does it matter if it left out the most successful smartphones? Fact is, Samsung had designs that were evolving towards an all screen touch device in a rectangular shape. The fact that people bought more Samsung phones that fit that form factor after the release of the iPhone is kind of just happenstance, right?

Seeing as Blackberry is the only mobile service that works at all with Domino/Lotus, IBM pretty much has to make sure BES doesn't go away.
