I get what you're saying but even though they're a great inclusion and are well-defined, the characters you're describing aren't the leads of those films.

Until someone came up with this unknown guy (who only did TV shows) called "Bruce WIllis".

I think the only thing I ever saw him in was that one episode of Community, but that was enough to get a taste. He reminded me of Phil Morris, in a good way.

Oh, believe me, I hold plenty against Snyder and Goyer. I don't think they should've had Superman kill, but at least they had him show remorse over a death he caused, which is a feeble patch over a major flaw in the film, but is still more emotion than any MCU hero has ever shown about killing in battle.
