I get a little nerd-ragey when people claim the short skirts were proof that the Federation was sexist, or write in-universe comments (like, I think it was the DC comic set at the end of the five-year mission, where Uhura talks about how she's excited to get home to the new uniforms so she can finally wear pants) that…
The short-sleeve variant looked good, and Kirk's Admiral uniform looked great!
I'm gonna have to disagree; the movie uniforms were pretty effective from a real-world perspective; for a couple hours per year, hiding aging actors' waistlines. But if you think of it from an in-universe perspective, I don't think it really flies. Think about some other ship going on a multi-year voyage of…
Thank you! As soon as I saw the original post, that was the first site I thought of, but couldn't remember where it was. That site really is the ultimate source for Trek uniform design.
Try here:
(Deleted for redundancy.)
In fact, I think it's entirely possible that they were planning for that very
possiblepossibility while crafting his role in Winter Soldier.
I really hope they have at least a couple of episodes with Toby Jones as Arnim Zola too, sowing SHIELD with the seeds of Hydra.
I just posted this in another thread on this page, but it seems more relevant here:
In addition to Dum Dum, can we also get Jim Morita too full time? He was in 1 episode of Agents...
Remember that when Tony was a rambunctious kid, Howard was old enough to be played by John Slattery. That would be pretty fun if they did some time-travel hi-jinks so Slattery could do a guest spot as Old Spock Stark telling them some vital information from the future (pretty cliche, but still fun if they play it…
You know what, Agent Carter? You just announce Neal McDonough as Howling Commando Dum Dum Dugan as an official cast member, and we're going to be all set.
I'm normally a massive fan of North, but he's so overexposed in gaming that I groan when he gets attached to projects.
I really wouldn't call it an impression; it's barely any different from his Deadpool voice. I think it just sounds more like Cooper because, as you say, it's the only other voice that isn't Cockney.
I know this sort of stuff is really cool, but just throwing this out there - am I the only person who never likes to watch "making of" type things, as it spoils the suspension of disbelief somewhat?
What I really want to know is, what are the raised textured areas on her body (which aren't there in the comics) supposed to represent? Other than letting them cover up the naughty bits without clothes (because apparently Bryan Singer hates wardrobe), I mean from an in-universe perspective. This has always confused…
He's one detective in one precinct. He's not the boss and won't be the boss for years, he doesn't personally have to fail for the city to crumble around him.
I agree with you, but why even bother attaching the Star Wars label to it? I feel like this pretty well sums up the problem with every prequel.
This is what I'm hoping the show is, everybody loves character torture and this is the perfect setting for that.
