In the superhero context, hell yes it does mean that.

I'm an adult, I want adult stories even if those stories involve people in tights. I love the more "real" tone DC goes with and think that MoS gave us that perfectly.

I hope they pull it off - but they've yet to show me they have put the thought needed into it.

As opposed to Avengers which had me checking the time every fifteen minutes because it was a generic Whedon plot polished off with a Michael Bay (seriously, it's Transformers 3)ending.

Why is Rocket cosplaying as the Winter Soldier?

For me it's fun to see Superman overcome insurmountable odds which he did in MoS

I liked the Avengers, but it was like watching a cartoon, everything was so light with humor that I had a hard time taking any of it seriously.

This is the crux of the issue for me:

Sure, but how hard would it be to just change the character's name from "Hope" to "Janet" and tweak a few lines of dialogue about Hank's wife? I mean, it would still be weird that Jan was a contemporary of Scott Lang instead of Hank Pym, but if they were that upset about this issue that they'd fire Edgar Wright over

She reminds me of Elizabeth Banks as Betty Brant. Ah, good times.

If that were the case, that Wright was the one who put this into motion, and he was ousted because of it, then why would the leave it in place after he left?

Take a look at the wideshot video from this, he's surrounded by press being assholes.

As it happens, I watched that one just last week. I had seen trailers and heard about it, but in actually watching it, I was quite astonished at how extremely boring it was. The lead actor was utterly devoid of charisma, and there was so much padding with establishing shots and the like. And the origin was exactly

Man, DC is so weird.

What I'm reading into your comment is that we shouldn't forget that the cop acting aggressively toward the innocent public was white. So I guess, one way I could translate that is, "we must not forget to make race a part of the issue here."

You mean like asking about the Hulk's Penis?

And white. Don't forget white.

I agree completely. The cop/pig is clearly in the wrong there, but the people in the crowd are not helping anything. That would've been a perfect chance to counterpoint the image of the violent, reactionary cop with a placid, peaceful crowd, but they didn't accomplish that very well.

The contract length is the biggest indicator for me. Why else would they plan from the start for Sebastian Stan to stay longer than Chris Evans.

Don't forget Bucky held the shield briefly in the first movie, in the train scene right before he died. They've been foreshadowing BuckyCap from the beginning.
