A tidbit revealed when we talked to the writers Steve McFeely and Christopher Markus after the panel was that Edwin Jarvis, the original butler to Howard Stark, will be a character in Agent Carter. He'll be acting as a sort of Q figure, bringing Peggy Carter technology from Stark.

I tried to post this before and it didn't appear to go through, so apologies if this ends up being a double-post...

Maybe sadism isn't the right descriptor, but I definitely do think it's safe to say he's pretty well insane. I will also cop to the fact that his piss-poor excuse for "art" biases me heavily against him. But it's also things like making Superman a spineless government lackey in DKR, saying that Bullseye stabbing

That's a very thought-provoking perspective. It's been far too long since I've partaken of either's work to compare them that acutely, so I'll have to take your word for it. But I do feel like every time I encounter anything by Frank Miller, there's almost an undercurrent of sadism about it.

I dearly wish I could go back in time and give these to my younger self. All those years I spent playing superhero LEGOs with generic minifigs jerry-rigged to look kinda similar to the my favorite comicbook heroes, and now that I'm too old to care, they have this stuff. Heavy sigh.

I got signed up for the IC beta without having any experience with MOBA's. The quick Youtube videos that passed for official tutorials really didn't do much to bring me up to speed. Meh.

It seems like, at some point, you jumped the track from Wonder Woman to the Flash. I'm still talking about Wonder Woman, who definitely does also have gold accents on her costume (actually, the Flash does too, just not as much).

You can't compare a suit of armor to a leather costume though.

"It's cool that other fans like crap but I like good things. My opinion is better than theirs. I have better taste."

Did you not like Iron Man?

Yup.

if it were bright red it'd look stupid.

I'm not a huge fan of Nolan's Batman films - they were joyless and ridden with story holes - but from what I can make out there, that looks like some awesome shit from The Dark Knight Returns.

What are they even cheering about at the 41 second point? It looks like it just fades to black and into the logo, but there's a huge cheer when there's basically nothing on the screen.

Also you are probably right, DC clearly wants to be gritty. I think that's a good way to make them stand out from the many Marvel films already released.

The idea that this is an affront to 'fans of the actual source material' is a generalized comment which does not apply as universally as you may think.

Oh, come off it. So tired of hearing these complaints about the characters being joyless.

With Batman, who has a black/grey costume, Superman who has red and blue, and Wonder Woman who has kind of a bronze thing going, it doesn't clash to the eyes.

Think about it, the original colors are the same as Superman's and would clash with it.

What does it matter how her costume looks in some theoretical future movie? I'm talking about this movie.
