I think I read somewhere that Miyazaki was going to make some shorts that would play exclusively at the Ghibli Museum. Not sure if those are the short films you're talking about or not.

Didn't demon souls have a system for climbing small ledges? I remember seeing it somewhere (I think a giant bomb video) and it being really clumsy.
the box does not say "native 1080p" it says "video output 1080p" maybe the MP isn't native 1080, but I bet you it's being output to the television as 1080p. I don't see how this case has a leg to stand on. a lot of 360 games used to say 1080p when it was really just up scaling to that. Hell, even the call of duty…
I think that, eventually, stuff like this is gonna turn me into a jaded son of a bitch. But now all I can ask is... Why?
I thought it was one of the best games of that year. I actually liked it a bit more than GTAV (another open world game released a year later with a significantly higher budget). The hand to hand combat is satisfyingly brutal, the story is surprisingly good (a bit cliched, but most crime stories are a bit cliched now a…
I haven't played any of the pre RE4 RE games, so this is instantly appealing to me. But also it's incredibly lazy that they don't make it native 16:9. This isn't film. The assets exist for them to easily make it 16:9, so why aren't they doing that?
Still haven't seen it, but from what I know it's one of the darkest ghibli movies so I wouldn't doubt it being a good fit for From Software. Dark Souls does have Sif and I'm pretty sure Princess Mononoke has big ass wolves in it.
Or a From Software game in the style of Studio Ghibli.
From Software is on the other side of the Dwango-Kadokawa merger (which hasn't happened yet) but I see your point. Kadokawa was very smart in how they handled the From Software buyout by realizing where interest in the company was and taking advantage of it by moving Hidetaka Miyazaki to a bigger role within From…
If this is true, cool , but if this causes them to fundamentally change the philosophy/overarching style of that studio then... I dunno, I'd rather they just close. No offense to the origin of this sites name, but if they start making otaku-like anime then I will be severely disappointed. Not that there is anything…
Disney might be an obvious choice, but it would also be a bad choice.
Why did star wars do gangbuster when it had no real fanbase? When something looks and sounds cool, people will go see it. The film had a lot of great pre release buzz which probably got a lot of people to go see it. For some people, the marvel universe seal would also be enough to go see it because pretty much all of…
I know, and amazon.jp as well. Thing is I don't want to spend 60 bucks on it (its actually more than that on playasia).
I don't like torrenting. I'd rather watch it on dvd/wait a long time before I would consider doing that.
Im almost 100% certain that isn't from grave of the fireflies, but I guess I could be wrong.
Im not saying it's a good thing that they do this, but there's nothing anyone can do to stop it. If it isn't the government watching us, its companies that profit off of leaching information from people or some ass hole hacker doing it for the hell of it (and to steal your identity).
(changed my username but Im the same person as before. Formerly naru-joe93). I don't think that analogy works as well as you think it does. In prison you did something wrong to get there for them to monitor you. On the internet they are monitoring you to make sure you don't do anything bad. Big difference.
I actually bought the JP blu ray of kikis delivery service, but that's because it's one of my all time favorite movies and was willing to pay the price vs waiting for the US release. It's a bit different with mononoke because I've never seen it. I know it's gonna be amazing, but I cant justify importing it for 60…
Is that from Princess Mononoke? I still need to watch that, but I reaally want to watch it on blu ray (which has yet to be released in the states). I bet Ghibli would make a shit load of money if all of their films were easier to obtain on blu ray world wide. It would probably be even better if their stuff was…
Thanks for posting this. I thought it was fishy when everywhere that was writing about the closure was sourcing a random blog. You'd think professional journalists would be smarter than that. The future of the studio is definitely in question, but it isn't definite yet.
