I highly doubt Nintendo studied the screenshots that well. I wager they just made sure the screens were of the game (as opposed to, say, Assassin’s Creed or Call of Duty or whatever) they said it was and approved it.

Holy shit, you’re right! That’s brilliant (and so_so bittersweet)

The irony is that transparent overdraw is often a performance bottleneck in modern games, so the atmospheric fog that used to mask the performance killers has become a performance killer.

Bloom, volumetric lighting and depth of field have replaced the need for a thick layer of fog to create atmosphere. Some games, like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey also add a low level fog layer at night/early morning to further enhance the visuals.

Ever see a modern Caddy with an aftermarket vinyl roof?

Are we not making the 1.5psi jokes anymore?

Ahhh reminds me of the good ol’ days on N64 where extensive use of fog was a means to cover up low draw distances or pop-in textures. Plus it added atmosphere.

Cause this is what happened with my glass Miata window on the track...you better believe my next one was plastic. Also, over time the top will start to unseal from the heavy glass window anyway. Also easier to wear the zipper out. I liked my glass window more for sure but I don’t think they’re really that much more

Holy bait-and-switch, Batman!

Ubi’s incredibly well known for bullshots, but I’m a little surprised that Nintendo would (I assume knowingly, as this had to get through at least a few layers of approval before it ended up on the eShop) go along with the practice—especially when the evidence will be immediate and

You must be fun at parties

The chain of fraud goes all the way back to Ferry Porsche slapping a fancy emblem on his dads beetle.

As far as I know, European Collectibles did a full restoration on it, which should have confirmed exactly what it was.  So I feel it’s on them for the most part right now.

IIRC European Collectibles “restored” the car, so they should well know that it was a fake.

I took my son to our first Monster Jam this past weekend in Arlington TX. Lots o fun and it really felt like watching my kids’ toy trucks come to life. Sparse crowd here in the Anaheim video, wonder why, it was sold out in AT&T Stadium.

That’s not true, I’ve lived in towns with laws against turning your yard into a junkyard, no hoa required. There’s a reasonable limit to things, then there’s an HOA.

If it were _the_ David Tracy, I wouldn’t mind that at all.

That sounds a lot like journalism to me.

My landlord also lives in the same area as my house and refers to the HOA as the Hitler Youth. They semi-regularly try to ding me for the driveway stain my 20-year-old, 376k-mile truck leaves (it seeps a bit here and there). Landlord takes this in stride and basically tells them unless they want to pony up for

Pulled out? I see what you did there.
