I tried to watch Clerks the other week and, whoa boy, the expressionless, wooden banter between Dante and Randal makes for a tough watch now.

I’m also suspicious of a professional pop culture reviewer saying Memento “takes multiple viewings to figure out exactly what the hell is going on.” It really is all pretty clear

I know this isn’t what the award is actually about, but of the nominees for outstanding comedy series, the one that actually made me laugh the most was Jury Duty. It would never win, but it sure was a great watch.

The Mandalorian & Grogu can’t be the final title, right? Right??

Seemed a little odd to me too, considering the Florence Pugh kerfuffle a few months ago during an event that wasn’t nationally televised like this one.

Anecdotally, things don’t feel much better in the Parks division either (which nearly matches the revenue of their Entertainment division), where public sentiment has been eroding for several years now as well. I don’t see how there’s a fast fix for either that would appease the hedge fund types.

After the drubbing that Haunted Mansion received here and elsewhere, I thought we were in for a disaster when the kids wanted to watch it. It turned out to be much better crafted than I’d expected it would be, and I was glad LaKeith Stanfield didn’t just phone it in for a paycheck. Could it have used another pass

About a Boy is still peak Hugh Grant for me. I revisit that movie way too often.

I happened to catch the Fassbender Macbeth the other night... and Kylo going full Macbeth sounds like some engaging Star Wars.

If this episode ended up being Olivia Rodrigo’s precursor to an upcoming host+musical guest double billing, then I was all for it.

I guess no one at the AV Club has an Apple TV+ subscription any more. While maybe not mind-blowing television, shows like Silo, Shrinking, Slow Horses and Platonic should have merited inclusion.

Say what you will about Marvel’s recent troubles, but it’s almost remarkable that they’ve even been remotely successful after Endgame considering only two Phase 1 lead characters have headlined a Phase 4 or 5 film (Black Widow and Thor: Love and Thunder)

Is this even news? Dalton Wilcox has been having sex with a hole in the ground for a decade now and nobody writes articles about our Poet Laureate of the West. https://forum.phish.net/forum/show/1375657657

The dude seems a little too interested in expanding out his cartoons in live-action form.

Can Emma Stone just co-host with Nathan Fielder this time around, please? Their two-segment long bit on Jimmy Kimmel last week was delightful.

Sounds like Aaron Eckhart could be... two faced.

Is this thing on?

Call it the Russo effect, but I’ve always found Community’s pilot to be rock solid as well.

I figured they would feel obligated include something from Seasons 4 and 5, but I was pleasantly surprised to see, nope, they didn’t take the bait.
(slow clap)

If season two shifts to more Carrie Coon and less Marian, I’m there.

I’ll continue to beat this drum, but how cool would it be for SNL to mix up the formula and when a pure standup hosts, let them have the two musical guest slots for 5-10 minutes to do their material. It’d be more interesting than converting the monologue into a 3-minute version of their set. The Foo Fighters are a

As far as “audacious season two openings” go, I have to give kudos to The Wire for completely changing the main setting of the show in its second season. Was it for the better? Well, that’s a different matter. But definitely audacious.
