I believe Hughes forgot the “JD Salinger Presents” in  Hollywoo Stars and Celebrities: What Do They Know? Do They Know Things?? Let’s Find Out!

Turns out, it’s mostly lens flare.

They’re already remaking Looper?

I pity the casting department that has to do their job in the shadow of the movies. The trick they pulled off there, where a dozen or so child and adult actors appear across all eight films (and a dramatically larger number appearing across 5+ movies in smaller roles), was remarkable.

As I type that out, though, I

Once I read the description of her as a human Tinkerbell, it’s been hard to unsee this ever since.

Maybe I just have a dead heart, but I still wish The Office stuck with the absolutely perfect “She said no, by the way” ending for Tim and Dawn. I felt cheated that they walked back that amazing moment with the Christmas special.

Wow. Seeing the large version of the Babes poster for first time now. That’s some remarkably shoddy Photoshop right there (hardy any attempt was made to make Michelle Buteau’s face appear to belong to that body, the tank top strap that goes into the hair instead of over the shoulder, a shoulder that looks MSPaint-ed

Since this list contained only one song from the last 14 years, I’d toss in 2022's A Little Bit of Love as a latter-career “essential”

This take would make more sense if there weren’t a la carte options for the individual services, something basic cable never offered.

I suppose the term “Hacks scene-stealer” is apt, since when she’s onscreen, she’s always robbing me of a scene I wish had Jean Smart in it.

If we’re going to play “Name That Sequel” with a Zaslav production, I’ll go with The Matrix: (tax w)Rite-Off.

Counterpoint: What’s Rebel Moon?

I’ll put forth The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford for inclusion on this list too. I guess it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I loved the heck out of it.

The reaction to this episode was fascinating. Right-leaning sites hailing it as a triumph and left-leaning sites loading up their headlines with terms like “bomb” and “giant miss.” I didn’t catch it live, but poked through the SNL Youtube channel today just to see why the huge discrepancy and it was.... kinda

Not related to this story at all, but Nic Pizzolatto was a home-run guest on Andy Daly’s Bonanas for Bonanza podcast. He was startlingly familiar with Daly’s catalog.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around “a holy war climax that entices every hole.” This demands to be the pull quote on the poster.

I nominate Susan from Seinfeld.

I didn’t realize anyone was begging for a second season of Loot. The cast is rock solid, though, so here’s hoping they can shake off the disappointment of the first season.

Best Buy (and Target... and probably plenty of other places) will let you get a 3-month Apple TV+ trial just by adding it to your cart now. I don’t know what a “qualified returning subscriber” is, but I’ve used it multiple times and have always “qualified.
