Speaking as a person who has caught someone drugging a drink, I have a lot of respect for their patience and calm. I immediately confronted the guy I caught, resulting in me getting punched in the face and a lack of evidence for cops. They took the right steps.

I read it as the bar reviewing the video, seeing the guy do it on tape, and then calling the cops because they had the proof.

I’m with the author - I would have wanted to tell the guy he’d been seen, watch him deny it, then say okay, prove it’s not true, drink it all yourself right now. And yes I realize that’s not the right way to handle it, it’s just what I would have WANTED to do.
