Yesterday, I was sobbing at my desk over the absolutely toxic work culture in my office and repeatedly telling co-workers “I’m fine.” It was obvious it’s not fine. It’s also something you can’t talk about so it needs to be fine. There’s no other choice but to go on in silent agony.
Truth. I and the women in my life routinely use “it’s fine” as a phrase that means “it’s absolutely not fine, but it’s not worth the drama that the truth will bring up.”

I loved how Tahani after initially resignedly saying she could *probably* get Eleanor Kamila’s autograph, instead lit up when Eleanor professed disinterest in her sister. That *definitely* started things off on the right foot for them.
